Paper Strips Flower

Tired of the plastic flowers and template decors? Let's make some adorable paper flowers!. You can use them to beautify your walls, use them on gifts' cover, or in your child's project.

For making this paper flower, we require these things :-

1. Craft paper / coloured A4 sheets or any coloured paper that you have.
2. A rough sheet to make the base
3. Glue
4. A pair of scissors
5. Pencil
6. Ruler (for marking the strips equally), Optional

 Here I have taken a yellow A4 sheet and one bright red and one brown craft paper sheet.

 First, mark some lines on the paper to cut out strips. The strips should be approximately of the same width.
 Now cut the strips. Here I have used yellow for the outer petals, and red for the inner petals.

Also cut a circle from the rough sheet of paper so that it can be used as the base to stick the petals.

As you can see here, the size of the red paper strip is half that of the yellow one.

Okay, let's make the loops for the petals. Put some glue at one end and join the other end so that a loop is formed as you can see in the pic.

 Similarly make the loops with the red strips also. The loops should look something like this -

Once the loops are formed, take the base and stick them on it's edge forming a flower

 Put some glue on the inner side and stick the smaller loops as shown in the picture. Add all the remaining loops. Cut a circle from the brown paper to make the center of the flower.

You can add some more details in the center. And your flower is ready!!!

Glitter Paper Butterfly

One fine morning I was sitting and thinking about how to make my daughter's room a little more cheerful. Let's add a few specks of colour here and there! I thought. I had a few craft supplies handy and I turned them into a butterfly :) Literally. 

Sharing it here so that even you can add some glitter to your sweetheart's Room. It's very easy to make and doesn't require a lot of things. 

To make this glittery piece all you need is:

1. Glitter paper (different colours)

2. One plain sheet of paper

3. A pair of scissors ✂ 

4. A pencil ✏ 

5. Glue 

6. A piece of craft wire

7. Some sticky beads 

First fold the plain sheet in half and draw the outline of the butterfly.

Now cut the outline as shown

Use these stencils to mark the shapes on the glitter sheets.

Cut out the shapes and stick them as shown in the pic

Take the piece of wire and bend it in half by making it look like a "V".
Curl the ends. Stick the wire at the back of the butterfly's head.

You can use double sided tape or simple sticking tape to fix it in place. Add some beads and voila! The butterfly is ready to adorn your angel's room. You can make them in different sizes and let them fly in your little Flower's imaginary garden :)
